EPDM roof, hardwood doors and fixed windows

The original doors and windows had rotted through. A new EPDM roof, hardwood doors and fixed windows were installed, with shiplap infill used to keep the solution practical and economical.

Split felt replaced with an EPDM roof

The old felt had split and water had damaged sections of the summerhouse roof boarding. Damaged plywood was replaced in two areas before a new EPDM rubber covering was fitted.

Original summerhouse doors saved

The customer originally expected the doors to be replaced. We repaired and retained them instead, avoiding unnecessary cost, then replaced damaged cladding to extend the summerhouse's useful life.

New double doors were made and fitted, shiplap cladding was replaced after minor frame repairs, and guttering was installed to help manage rainwater.

Targeted repairs for a weather-tight shed

To keep this shed useful for a few more years, a wonky door was re-hung, damaged cladding was replaced and the window frame was repaired to keep the building safe and weatherproof.

Twenty-year-old potting shed rescued from landfill

The roof was sagging, the front frame had rotted and the glazing was becoming unsafe. A new solar/potting shed front and frame were built, then the structure was sealed up for winter.

Collapsed timber shed before replacement

Archive project

Collapsed shed replaced

Problem: The original timber shed had collapsed and was beyond economical repair.
Work: The failed building was removed and a complete replacement shed was installed in the prepared position.
Outcome: A secure, weather-tight garden store replaced an unsafe structure.

The New Forest

Rotted shed side rebuilt to fit

Problem: One complete side had rotted and the owners expected that the whole shed would need replacing.
Work: A new side was made to fit the existing building, retaining the parts that were still serviceable.
Outcome: The shed was made fit for purpose again without an unnecessary full replacement.

Romsey

1960s outhouse turned into an office

Problem: An old garden outhouse was no longer providing useful everyday space.
Work: The existing structure was repaired and adapted into a small garden office.
Outcome: An overlooked outbuilding became practical workspace.

Stockbridge

A stable platform for a riverside shed

Problem: The garden’s riverside setting required a suitable raised support for the building.
Work: A platform was constructed as part of the shed project, with the setting and support needs taken into account.
Outcome: The building had a practical, stable base suited to its location.

North Baddesley

Two roofs upgraded from felt to Shedsheet

Problem: Two existing shed roofs needed a more durable replacement covering.
Work: Both roofs were fitted with one-piece Shedsheet EPDM rubber roofing.
Outcome: The customer reported that the finish looked significantly better than felt.

Winchester

Old shed front rebuilt as a summerhouse

Problem: The original front no longer provided the appearance or use the owner wanted.
Work: The old front was removed and a new made-to-fit front and veranda were built.
Outcome: The existing shed gained the character and usefulness of a summerhouse.
